2025 Ullr Bash Event & Winter Bike Ride

Join us for the fourth-annual fundraiser for the Pottawattamie County Trails Association, beginning and ending at Tobey Jack’s Mineola Steakhouse in Mineola. Register now for $30, a 25% discount over the $40 day-of fee
This year’s snow-or-shine event features a 10-MILE all-trail route to Margaritaville and:
•Food, soup, & drinks
•Games
•50/50 Raffle
•Silent Auction
•Live Auction
•Themed Costume Contest
Proceeds support trail development across Pottawattamie County in the former BNSF right-of-way along Railroad Highway. Participant registration constitutes consent to be bound by terms of the hold harmless agreement, a copy of which is available at the registration site.

Arrowhead Obstacle Trail Run returns Saturday, September 14th, 2024 with a course designed to appeal to every level!
* 5K Competitive waves with Top 10 medals for those looking to race the course and push the limits!
* 5K Open Wave for those looking to run, jog, or hike at their own pace for the fun and challenge of it!
* 1 Mile Kids Course for younger runners, their parents/guardians, or those just young at heart looking for a unique adventure at a shorter distance!

Arrowhead Obstacle Trail Run – Saturday, September 16th, 2023
Arrowhead Trail Run – Arrowhead Trail Run is a 5k marked course at Arrowhead Park near Neola, Iowa. Choose the traditional 5k distance, 2 laps for a 10k, or complete as many laps as you can in a 4 hour Enduro! Medals will be awarded for the top 3 Male and Female in the 5k, 10k and Enduro events. All are welcome to run, jog, walk or hike at your own pace. Learn more and register here.

Arrowhead Obstacle Trail Run –This event was canceled due to COVID-19.
Saturday, October 5 – This bike ride around Council Bluffs is being hosted in partnership with The 712 Initiative and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Pottawattamie County Trails Association.

BIKEtober in the Bluffs – 2018

Registration is:
$5 for riders 18 and under, includes bike helmet
$20 for adult riders, includes t-shirt
Gather your friends and family for BIKEtober in the Bluffs, a family-friendly bike event happening on the 100 Block!!
Starting 12 p.m. with sign-in and registration, there will also be a bicycle safety rodeo led by the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office.
Along with the rodeo, True Wheel Bicycle Co. and Xtreme Wheels will be giving bike demos, fittings and tune-ups before the ride.
Three routes to choose from:
– A long 24-mile route starting at 2 p.m.
– A 3 to 6-mile family route starting at 2:25 p.m.
– A 14-mile social ride will start at 2:30 p.m.
Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult to ride.

Omaha Gives! is coming up on May 23rd! This 24-hour challenge is set for May 23rd, 2018 and the giving begins at midnight with a minimum $10 donation. Participating non-profits compete in hourly drawings for prize money making your donations go further. View our Omaha Gives! page and donate on the 23rd.
Our Bike Raffle and Silent Auction will be on Saturday, June 9th in Council Bluffs. Click here to learn more!
Our Annual Meeting will be Saturday, April 7 from 8:30-10:00am at the Underwood City Hall. Come and learn about the progress we’re making, our future plans, and find out how you can support trails in Pottawattamie County!
And join us on April 28th for the Arrowhead Obstacle Trail Run! Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Pottawattamie County Trails Association to help further our cause.
Trail construction has begun on our first trail! Visit our Facebook page for the most recent news. A section from Smith Wildlife Area near Council Bluffs to Highway L-34 was built in 2017. This section is expected to be completed to Weston, Underwood, and Neola within the next three years. Once this trail is completed, our second priority is a trail from Council Bluffs northward to Crescent and the Hitchcock Nature Center.
We are always looking for volunteers to join our committee, and for financial donations to help fund the trail system.

Please support the countywide trail system by attending our upcoming Pancake Breakfast fundraiser!
What: Breakfast will include grilled pancakes, sausage, orange juice, and coffee. We are asking for a free-will donation to help us raise funds and support for our trails.
When: Sunday, May 1, 8am to noon.
